Cinco de Mayo

May 5, 2015

Today Mexicans celebrate the anniversary of the battle of Puebla and in my house my boyfriend and I celebrate our 5th year together. You better believe we will be celebrating both ocassions around town, eating some tacos al Pastor and maybe later in the week we'll stop by a couple wineries.
Yesterday, for our Monday brunch tradition, I decided to wear not quite a Mexican top, but a Honduran one (also seen here). However, it has a similar type of embroidery as the popular Mexican kaftans. I wore my red mini-skirt (also worn here) and simple sandals in order to add an urban touch and, last but not least, I decorated my left arm with a stack of vintage lucite bangles. I know that I've worn them a lot in this blog lately--but I really can't get enough of them.

  2. You look beautiful and happy. You always come up with original and joyful looks - I enjoy seeing them come across my feed. Thanks for the fun style inspiration. Two observations (intended to be complimentary) - your face and bone structure are so lovely, it would be great to see you with your hair pulled back more frequently. Also, you have great stems, maybe fewer boyfriend jeans and rock more fabulous skirts/leggings :) Happy anniversary!

    1. Thanks so much for compliment and wishes! As the weather turns warmer I'll be wearing more of skirts and shorts and btw, my boyfriend agreed with you about the hair. He loves to see me with my hair pulled back.
