How to style clogs? That question never popped into my head before, simply because I never owned a pair of clogs. At the beginning of the year I began a craving for these wooden tappers; I guess because I've been seeing them on the runway lately (yes, I don't mind trends) styled with whimsical looks. However, I sometimes feel like they can look way too costumey if they are paired with too many folksy garments. Believe it or not, clogs can be a little intimidating, mainly because finding the right pair for ones style can be a little bit challenging.
Last week, I finally had the chance to put my hands of a pair of clogs. I was presented with a terrific selection of these Sweden clouds. Yes!! I call them clouds because I never knew that walking in these shoes would be so incredibly comfortable. At first, I started looking for a white pair to style with my spring/summer looks, but I immediately changed my mind when I saw this metallic sandal style. My thinking was, "I can wear them with dresses, with shorts, skirts, jeans, and of course, with any flowy boho look."
Well, to make the story short, here I'm wearing these babies with a track retro jacket, flared jeans and with modern boxy clutch. Being costumey can't be a bad thing, but being creative with fashion, it's always refreshing. Yes, I felt very creative as soon I put these clouds on my feet. Wearing them with flared jeans is nothing new, but wearing them with a sporty vibe, it feels unexpected and fun. Now I can say, clogs are no longer intimidating for me, on the contrary, now they are a piece of cake.
