My City Hall Wedding

May 8, 2016

Hi, everyone! This past Friday was one of the most important days of my life. After dating my boyfriend Brad Medich for six years, we decided to get married. We both were married before, so this time, we decided to make things a little bit different. Five years ago we decided to move in together and since then we've enjoyed our lives together, but it was only a month ago that we decided to take the next step. Yes, I had only a month to plan my wedding, but since we were keeping things simple, it was a very easy task for me.
One of the hardest things for a bride in the preparation of her wedding is finding the right dress. In my situation, it was very easy because I knew that I wanted to wear a simple non-white lace dress. If you follow me on Snapchat @CareliaMoran you probably saw more live details about my small wedding. Since cameras or cell phones are not allowed inside the courthouse, we decided not to hire a  professional photographer. Instead, I asked my oldest son's girlfriend ,Casey, to take the pictures.

Do you remember about a month ago that I showed you these shoes and told you that they were for a very special occasion? Well, now you know. The bouquet was a DIY project of mine. I must confess, I'm not a crafty person, so please be kind judging my work of art ;-)

City Hall Wedding

Burgundy isn't quite a Spring-like color, but I always have found this shade of red very elegant, sexy and feminine, therefore, perfect for my casual wedding dress. I made the bouquet a couple of days before the wedding, so I made sure the flowers had the right colors that would bring a Spring feel to my dress and the same goes with jewelry. I love turquoise accents around this time of year, so I decided to wear this old turquoise belt that I've been treasuring for many years with matching vintage jewelry.

At the age of 45, my priorities in life have changed completely. This time, having only a City Hall wedding felt very comfortable and stress-free.

Just married

After our early-morning city hall wedding, my oldest son took us for a very delicious breakfast at a local bistro in town. Everything worked the way we wanted and even the rain ceased that morning before our special date. By the time you read this post, we probably will be boarding our plane to our honeymoon, so please, bare with me if you don't see a new blog the next week; however, I'll be sharing some pictures of our trip on my Instagram and Snapchat accounts.
