Wearing Fall Trends In Summer

I recently read in one of my favorite magazines that leopard prints and velvet fabric will continue trending this Fall. A couple years ago I started noticing that velvet was making a comeback, however leopard print is classic... at least in my wardrobe it's never considered a trend.
After reading the entire magazine, I was inspired, therefore, I felt the need to bring out my velvet shoes. I didn't want to wait until Fall in order to enjoy a beautiful fabric such as velvet, so I made an interesting combo with it by pairing it with straw, linen and leopard print.

I've also noticed that glossy leathers are back in business and this is a great news, because I do own some pieces that I can't wait to wear again. The weather was too hot for wearing a leather garment, but not too hot for wearing for wearing a shiny leather belt. This alligator leather belt not only brought a balancing touch to the combo, but it also made it look a bit more fashion forward.
