I recently read an article about women in their 40's should not wear short skirts. I'm really tired of reading dress-code rules for older gals like me. I'm certainly not in my 20's (although, sometimes I still feel like it) but that doesn't mean that I have to give up on things that make me happy. With age comes wisdom, but being wise doesn't mean being boring; in fact, it's the other way. At my age, I've tried tons of trends and styles and I've shown a lot of skin and wore things that were quite daring. As I grow older, I've learned to balance things fashion-wise (and many other things for that matter). I still love to show skin, however, I do it more strategically. Instead of baring skin from head-to-toe, I try to show only one part of my body and keep the rest covered. So what I'm saying is that, older gals like me don't have to give up the things that make us feel sexy...we just need to wear them smarter.
