"How To Wear Ballet Flats Without Looking Basic"

Weekend style with denim shorts

After reading The Man Repeller's post "How to wear ballet flats without looking basic" and some of the interesting and heated comments, I decided to give my leopard ballet flats another chance. However, instead of wearing a striped sexy blouse like she did, I wore this regular striped t-shirt and black boyfriend blazer and I let my legs do the sexy talk…lol. Did I look basic? Who knows, however, I enjoyed my outfit.

Happy weekend everyone!! And thanks for visiting.

    1. Thanks Malena! I actually bought 'em 2 size larger, so I could wear them low in my hips and legs. I can't do the Daisy Duke length anymore…lol.

  4. SO in love with this look -- how can you not fall in love with leopard print shoes?!

    1. I love leopard! Ballet flats are more fun with this print and maybe less basic.

  5. I definitely don't think you look basic here! I almost never wear flats for that reason- though when I have to walk over a mile in downtown I definitely wish I owned a pair or two, haha. What I love here is how you styled your blazer- definitely going to use that as inspiration!

    1. You got it!! I bought a couple pairs thinking I could wear them for long walks, but I always end up wearing my brogues, loafers or flat sandals. Even my boyfriend think they are boring shoes, but I will continue challenging myself and I'll see what else I can come up with. Thanks Marlen! I'm glad you liked it.
