Blue Pumps

Gianvito Rossi Pumps

In my opinion, a pair of colorful pumps can be almost as versatile as a neutral colored pair, I just love how bright shoes can bring so much fun to a simple or monochromatic look. I am not going to say much, the pictures will tell you the story of a beautifully made pair of blue pumps by a well known Italian shoe designer Gianvito Rossi and by the way, I found these shoes at a very good price on a Christmas sale. I was a lucky girl to be able to find one pair in my size.

Preppy With Basics

Boyfriend jeans with pumps

After all the holiday shopping, cooking, migraines (yeah, I get those) and dressing up, the time to sit back and enjoy the rest of my presents has finally arrived. I was very blessed this Christmas, since I had the chance to spend time with my family again and knowing that everyone was safe made my day. However, one of the material Christmas blessings I received this year was this warm puffer vest by Patagonia. I've been wearing it with jeans and sneakers around the house, however, the other day, I decided to wear it with other basic pieces for me such a camel coat and a striped turtleneck . I wanted to make this outfit to look more preppy, so I wore my shiny nude pumps and dressed up the vest with a leopard belt.

Merry Christmas - Feliz Navidad

Leggings with heels outfit

I spent my Christmas Day in this colorful and silky Chloe dress (also worn HERE), but this time I wore it over a pair of warm leggings and a thin turtleneck. Since the weather wasn't too cold, I wore a lighter coat that I recently purchased from Zara.
I hope everyone is having a beautiful holiday season. Thanks again for visiting my blog and the comments that you left in my last post, that's actually the best Christmas present a blogger can receive from their followers.

Festivities a La Americana

Red white and blue outfit

I dedicate my look today to North America, specially North Carolina. I have spent my last 18 Christmas' in this area and they have been wonderful for me and my family. I still celebrate Christmas at home the Honduran way (eating tamales, dancing merengue music, cooking pork..etc) but, I do respect how Americans celebrate their Christmas in a more quiet and peaceful way.
So, my look today is a mixed pattern bonanza of red, white and blue, which are the colors of United States flag and also can be Christmas colors as well. I added to this look a touch of metallic with my shoes to bring it to a festive mood.

What I Wore To The Ballet

We love to go to The Nutcracker Ballet around Christmas and for the occasion, I always tend to wear all black and gold accessories. This time, I decided to wear black again, but with red (earrings and bag) accents instead. I decided to give my H&M lace dress a formal look by wearing it with my vintage fur coat, fishnets and shiny pumps.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend and thanks so much for your sweet comments in my previous post and for visiting my blog.

Suede and Patent

White Jeans Street Style

…is the material that my new acquisitions (on sale) are made of and I just couldn't wait to pair them together. A biker jacket in suede and in gray  color sounded to me like a pretty darn versatile piece to buy, so was a classic pair of black patent pumps. I wanted to be cozy yet not so casual, so I wore my oversized gray sweater to keep the look low in contrast and I also added a touch of crispness with my white boyfriend jeans.

Layered Outfit

While I was looking through pictures from a street-style fashion blog, I came across a picture of a lovely lady wearing a pair of Western-style camel boots. I immediately realized that I had a similar pair and I also realized that I haven't worn them this year.
This morning I felt al little bit better and we decided to go out for a late breakfast and do some errands in downtown. So, I put on my camel boots and paired them with my cotton leopard dress, which I layered with a plaid blazer and my camel coat.
By the way, thanks so much for all your comments in my previous post, I really appreciate every single one.

One Picture Post

Today, I am posting only one picture (the only one I have) of a look I wore a while back. I believe it's on my Instagram feed but it never made it to the blog until today. I have been sick with the flu (but not with the blues) for the last 3 days and I don't feel physically able to dress up.
This outfit has a little bit of everything, but my favorite part was the leopard print of the flats mixed with the tartan of the skirt.
I hope everyone has a great weekend and hopefully I'll feel better soon to dress up again.

No Blues With My Cloche Hat!

Monochromatic Street Style

Fun is the only thing that comes to my mind when wearing my hats throughout the year, and now is time for me to show off again my unique vintage 1930s cloche hat. My boyfriend insisted on buying this hat for me last year because he's a huge fan of the lady-like style in general. I liked it, because of its unique oversized vintage look and the rich navy color. This time, I decided to match the color of my outfit with my hat, but I also added a white contrast with a nautical scarf and beaded zebra bag. My Prada pumps were an unexpected pop of color, which is what my style is all about.

How to wear Hunter rain boots

…To see these pictures, because this tent dress is brighter than a Bumble bee, which is exactly how I look today…lol.
Another rainy day in North Carolina, but I don't mind, because I have the opportunity to wear all of my Hunter  boots with cute outfits. The last time I shared a post of this dress with you (Yellow Dress and Summer Wine) was in 2012, when I was having a relaxing and tipsy time at a local vineyard. Today, I decided to layer it and make it more appropriate for this cold and wet weather.
My boyfriend took these pictures this morning right before we went out for our breakfast and I forgot to bring my umbrella; oh well! This peacoat is made of material that repels water very well. Anyway, I love how the raindrops are obvious in the pictures!

Zara Leather Sleeve Dress

Black with black outfit
Almost everyone is wearing leather or leather-like material these days and I am not the exception. What I love about the new leather nowadays that it's all-seasons wearable. Manufacturers are getting very crafty with this material by making it thinner and softer and you no longer get the sweats that the old-style leather make you feel around warmer seasons. Don't take me wrong, I still love my vintage leather jackets, however, I tend to wear them more when the temperatures are low.
Talking about leather, here is a leather sleeve dress that I found on Zara's website which I found so comfortable yet edgy. The best part of this dress? You can eat spaghetti worry free, because if you get stains on your sleeves…you will be able to wipe'em right off ;-)

It's Beginning To Look Like Christmas…

What to wear for Christmas

And I matched the mood of town by wearing my versatile tartan jacket, with its colors just perfect for the holidays. I love mixing patterns as many of you already know, so mixing plaids is one of the combinations that I really enjoy. Bringing this window pane patterned skirt to the game was an easy decision to make. The silk vintage scarf pretty much brought all of the pieces together.

I've Got Sunshine on a Cloudy Day

Camel Coat Outfit

…and when it is cold outside, I have colorful clothes to wear. That's what I'm talking about! Once in a while I just feel like ignoring all the winter-like colors and give all my attention to the brightest pieces in my wardrobe. Who needs sunshine when you can brighten your own day?

Ahoy, Matey! Nautical With a Twist

Nautical Outfit

I woke up today feeling like cruising the streets of downtown with a nautical/mod style. I don't have to sail the high seas in order to enjoy this trending sailor look, right? Instead of wearing the traditional blue stripes and blue jacket, I decided to wear black for a chic twist. The blue shade of the pants was the only sea-like color in this outfit, which I like how stands out in between black and white.
Yo-ho-ho…I hope you like it.
