Cowboy Boots The Urban Way

Cowboy boots street style

It was time for me to bring to daylight my vintage cowboy boots, but this time instead of pairing them with a flowy dress or denim wear, I decided to wear them with an urban leather-sleeves dress (see how I styled it here and here) and a plaid scarf borrowed from my boyfriend's closet. I love the juxtaposition that creates the western boots with a city-type dress. It was a less expected combo, therefore, I thought it was fun.

  11. Ooo I would have NEVER thought to pair cowboy boots in this way and I'm astounded at just how fab it looks. You always come up with the most interesting and stylish pairings- you seriously have such a fantastic eye. And I love the scarf as well- it was just the thing to bring this whole outfit together.

And that's so exciting you're coming to Chicago this Thanksgiving! The train is super fast so it'll probably be even easier than driving (and yaaaay, you won't have to worry about parking) and if you bundle up the cold won't even be that bad :) It gets super painful around January, so you'll be okay. Have you been to Chicago often?

Also, I'm so jealous you have a sister in New Orleans and have an excuse to visit. That's seriously one of my FAVORITE places in the States- I'm already counting down the days til I can go and visit again.

    1. Hey Marlen! Yes, I can't wait! We will spend most of the week in Grand Rapids, MI. But I can't wait to visit Chicago for a day. The last time I went there was a couple years ago and it was really windy (of course) and but not too cold. The driving was way too crazy, reason why, we decided take the train this time and enjoy the town without worries. Then for Xmas, I'll be traveling to NOLA to see my family. The next couple months will be fun ;-) Thanks for your sweet comment btw ;-)
