Off-Duty Urban Style

Off Duty style
This is a casual and urban look that in my opinion, anyone can pull off . All the pieces are classic and simple, therefore, easy to pair with each other. I wore it to see my chiropractor on my day off from work. I wanted to be very comfortable without wearing sweatpants. I hope everyone have a wonderful Sunday.

Do the Bright Thing

Culottes street style outfit
I believe this outfit will cheer you up in case you're feeling blue and if you are upbeat, it might keep you there for a little while longer. This is by far one of the brightest combos I ever shared in this blog and let me tell you that I enjoyed every little bit of it.
Besides loving the strong contrast of these colors together,  I also love my new culottes. You will think red pants need to be paired with easy colors in order to let them be the center of the attention, however, sometimes, there's nothing wrong with letting the entire look steal the show.

Denim Pinafore Dress

How to wear a pinafore dress
This pinafore dress it has been in my wardrobe for several years now, and every time I wear it, It feels like the first time. I think this dress is fun due the leather details and I even find it versatile, because with the right pieces I can wear it all year round. Our weather right now isn't completely warm yet, so this time I paired it with knee-high boots in order to keep my legs toasty. Do you like the red bandana? I think about John Wayne and his cowboys movies every time I wear a scarf like this.
I hope you have a wonderful day and I please wish me good vibes, because I recently had a back injury and I haven't been able to do my daily routine activities without having to deal with pain. I'm seeing a chiropractor in town, so I hope I have a speedy recovery and I can run my dirt trail again. By the way,  I was told that wearing heels was ok, but just don't try to run with them…lol.

Easy and Breezy on the First Day of Spring

Levi's 501 CT jeans

Hello Spring season!!! I've been waiting for this time of the year anxiously, because I'm not crazy about cold weather. In order to welcome this wonderful weather with the appropriate attire, I wore this handmade cotton blouse, which flows beautifully with the Spring breeze. I also decided to wear one of my favorite jeans these days and my versatile nude pumps.
I wish for everyone to have an easy and breezy weekend.

Urban Safari

Utilitarian fashion trend

Here I'm again sporting another army green colored piece. Bear with me, I'm going through a phase right now.  I'm very much in love with this safari/utility shirt,  because is versatile and it has my favorite style pockets. The fabric is 100% cotton, therefore, perfect for warmer weather as well. Last week, instead of styling it half tuck, I decided to wear it with a canvas belt in order to accentuate its safari vibe. The black flare jeans seemed to be the right choice and the pointy leopard heels were the perfect wild touch. And to finish the look with some bling bling, I opted for gold accented accessories.

Blending With Nature - Shearling Jacket and Army Green Pants

Utilitarian style outfit

I believe I've fallen in love with army green! In the past couple years, I've gradually incorporated the color grey into my wardrobe, and so far… I'm still wearing it. But his year, I'm finding myself more attracted to army green. Many years ago, back in Honduras, I used to see too many soldiers wearing army green around town, or when guarding the city, so it wasn't an attractive color to wear as a civilian. Now, that I've been away from that environment for 20 years, I've found a new meaning for army green or even camouflage print. I have a trench coat in that color, which I love. I also have a utilitarian parka and now these pants, which have a safari/army vibe.
Today, I'm also introducing my new parka denim jacket, which I found a few days ago while out and about in Raleigh, NC. I've been looking for a shearling jacket that wasn't too heavy and that I could even wear at the beginning of spring time. Every one I tried on was very heavy and perfect for really cold weather cities, however, living in North Carolina, I don't need too many heavy coats to get by our mild winter season.
Early in this week, I decided to put these two items together and style them with other neutral pieces in order to achieve a look with an earthy vibe. I was really tempted to style them with one or two colored pieces, however, I also was craving for a look with colors easy-on-the-eye.

Slick Wedge Sandals and Jumpsuit Culottes

Velvet shoes street style

Shoes sure can warm a girl's heart, or at least this girl right here. I found these adorable wedges on a second-hand website store, and as soon they arrived I knew they were going to be a great piece to spice up any look. I love the slick wedge design and, of course, the luxurious feel of the velvet and leopard print insoles. Wedge heels are having a strong comeback this year, so I'm glad I found these beautiful wedges at a perfect time. This is my first time wearing them and I chose to pair them with my vintage jumpsuit culottes and vintage accessories as well.

Striped Pants For Spring

Spring outfit with denim jacket
Spring was in the air last week here in North Carolina, and I took advantage of the beautiful weather by wearing lightweight clothing. These pants are a very recent purchase and they're also the only striped long pants I own, so I know I'm going to have fun with them this spring. I like the fact that the print is classic and they have boyfriend fit, which is my favorite. In this look I kept everything simple, however I wore a couple of ethnic accessories in order to add a bohemian touch.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend and hopefully you have great weather.

Suede, Flannel and Denim: Comfort Zone

Tomboy Style
Maybe there isn't much to the outfit that I'm sharing with you today, however, I felt very comfortable and relaxed all day. Wearing easy materials and clothes with a comfortable fit can also make me feel confident, as long I style them in a fun way. But, what is "in a fun way?" Well, to me, adding an accessory such as a chic hat, great shoes or stylish sunglasses, can be a good way to add a fun touch to any look and of course, a smile.

I'm Not With The Band

Rocker Chic Outfit
From the moment I bought these combat boots, I knew I was going to take advantage of them, because besides being comfortable, they go perfectly with many outfits. This time with the help of a studded belt and Wayfarer sunglasses, I used these boots to toughen up a few colorful pieces. I really liked the results, because in my opinion, I achieved a preppy look with rocker-chic vibe.
