Most of us have, whether they're vintage or new, two types of garments in our wardrobes: the classic and the of-the-moment. The benefit of trendy pieces is that they can sometimes bring a fresh effect to the classic ones. However, the benefits of classic pieces are so many that I could go on and on all day writing about it. Today, I will only mention one, which is versatility. Yes, that word is key in my wardrobe and every time I acquire something new.
The very moment I purchased all the garments from the outfit that I'm sharing today, I was fully convinced about their potential. I've worn every single piece in many different combinations, of which I've shared some of them with you in previous posts.
Today, I've put all these classic pieces (vintage and new-era) together in order to create a fun (mix prints, of course) Autumnal look. I also created this ensemble to prove to myself that I don't always need to wear a trendy piece in order to look up-to-date.
WHAT I WORE:
Dress: J.Crew/ Jacket: Ralph Lauren: Similar/Boots: Manolo Blahnik: Similar here and here/Scarf: H&M. Similar/Sunglasses: Tom Ford/Earrings: Michael Kors/Bag: Mansur Gavriel.
You are more than welcome to see more looks with this houndstooth blazer: here, here, here, here and a look from 2012 here. By the way, I only paid $5 for this jacket at my local Goodwill. I've paid so much more to get it dry-cleaned several times.
My shift dress was a purchase from this past July. See another look here. My scarf is a couple of years old, but I can't stop wearing it. A silk large scarf, in my opinion, is a must-have. See more look with this scarf: here, here and here.
These boots have been one of the biggest investments I've ever made for my wardrobe. Since I bought these gorgeous boots I can't wait for cooler weather in order to wear them again. So far, these are the looks I've shared in this blog with them: here, here, here, here, here and here.
THANKS FOR VISITING!
