Heels or Flats With Crocheted Sweater?

July 25, 2013

Before I left home, I debated for a few minutes whether or not to wear heels with my new crocheted summer sweater. I decided to wear my wedges and take my sneakers with me, just in case I did some unexpected long walking. At the end of the day we decided to go shopping for few things we needed and yes, I was more than happy to kick off my heels, but wanted to grab some pictures first. I know that heels give the illusion of longer legs - the reason a lot of us love them, but I think I can live with the shorter leg look when I need comfort and mobility, which is only provided by a good ol' pair of sneakers. After all, both shoes looked just fine with my adorable striped sweater.

  2. If you were going for fresh, pretty, chic...then you nailed it Carelia! I love both looks. The wedges do indeed lengthen the leg line, but the Converse runners are so fun and make for a great outfit too. I love, love, love the first photo with the wedge sandals beside you as you put on your sneakers! Fantastic!

    1. Thanks so much Sue!!! It is hard sometimes to decide between both, but many times I end up taking two type of shoes "just in case" ;-)

  4. You are a very smart woman, Carelia! :) I also take two pairs of shoes with me sometimes, when I like to have options. I love your outfit both ways. It is very feminine with heels, and you have such pretty legs - of course show them off!! And I like it with Converse just because it is less predictable and looks really comfy and relaxed, and I love comfortable shoes. :)
