Up The Country

Denim Overalls

Happy Easter Sunday, everyone! Today, I'm sharing with you a look that I wore for a small road trip up the country. We are very lucky to live less than a couple hours away from many state parks and wineries in North Carolina, therefore it's easy for us to make spontaneous road trips. This past week, we headed to one beautiful site in North Carolina called Wilson Creek, just near the famous Blue Ridge Parkway. It's a beautiful creek tucked in among the mountains of the Pisgah National Forest. I love to visit that site because, besides the terrific rapids, the area is surrounded by beautiful hiking trails.
I usually wear some off-road kicks and sporty garments when there for hiking, but this time, my boyfriend and I just wanted to relax and enjoy the sounds of the rapids, therefore I could afford to wear a more stylish look, but with country vibes.
Even though the ocean is 5 hours away, I thought wearing a shrimp patterned shirt at the mountains was more fun than wearing it to the beach. Many times wearing a print that opposes the nature of a particular environment, is way more exciting than actually wearing it at the place that was originated. Now, I know you've seen my overalls several times in this blog (more looks 123, and 4), but I just can't help to love this particular style, due to the low cut back and distressed denim.

Today I'm wearing:
Overalls: Levi's
Shirt: c/o Needham Lane
Sneakers: Converse.
Hat: Goorin Brothers. Similar here.
Sunglasses: Kate Spade (old). See similar here.
Earrings and bracelets: Vintage
