It's not a secret that by adding black leather to a girly dress you can toughen up its look. Yesterday for running errands and brunch, I decided to wear this 60s mod dress (also seen here) with a biker jacket and biker booties. The weather wasn't completely warm, so the jacket came in more than handy on a cloudy and windy day.
This black and white floral blazer has become as versatile as my navy jacket. Here again, the white flowers are giving a fresh touch to another outfit in this month. The first time I wore it, was with my old 501 Levi's ripped jeans. The next time was with a coral dress for the Easter post. This time to hang out with the locals, I decided to wear it with an almost all-white outfit and a boater hat for a Caribbean boyish look. At the end of the day, for dinner at a patio, I put on my black pumps to make the look a little more dressy and feminine.
After driving several times by this coffee airstream located in Winston Salem. NC, we finally decided to stop by and have a cup, which by the way was very delicious. You know I was planning this all together, because these silver shoes and jewelry weren't a coincidence. I wanted to have a couple pictures next to the adorable "silver bullet" which is the nickname I have for it. I wore a red bag in order to add a pop of color to this cool hue-based look. After the coffee, we went for dinner and a movie.
Thanks so much for your awesome comments in my previous posts. I appreciate every single one.
My style changes as the weather turns warmer, since I tend to spend more time in the outdoors. Casual bohemian styles are frequently chosen when I feel like strolling around town or even visiting a new town here in North Carolina. This time for Earth Day, I decided to wear an almost all-white boho look with modern and ethnic accessories in a warm hue.
My look for a Thursday night date with my boyfriend was shiny from head to toe! I not only wore my vintage gold metallic jacket (also seen here with a more casual look), but also my metallic sandals (also seen here and here) that you might have noticed by now that I really love them. These days, I'm really putting the pedal to the metal this year and you'll see more shiny stuff in my posts.
Yesterday the temperature dropped to 52 degrees in North Carolina, so layering was a must in order to stay warm around town. Despite the chilly weather, the day was clear and pretty, so my boyfriend and I decided to check out a tiny little dive bar in downtown Winston Salem (Silver Moon Saloon). For the occasion, I decided to layer a cotton short sleeved biker jacket and a leather biker jacket over a maxi dress. I carried a vintage wicker bag in order to give a lady-like touch and of course keep the mix factor there, which is what is my style is all about. And last but not least, I wore my suede biker booties to match the jackets.
Since I was very young, I was always inspired by festival fashion. Growing up in a tropical weather climate it was easy to wear this style almost everyday. Nowadays, I still feel attracted to this boho trend, however I like to wear it with one or two polished pieces in order to make it more appropriate for my age and lifestyle.
When I bought this dress, I was thinking about wearing it around the Easter holidays. Obviously I couldn't wait until then and instead I wore it earlier in the week with ethnic accessories to go on another fun and relaxing trip to a vineyard.
I hope you have a wonderful Sunday.
Lately, I have been incorporating more metallic pieces into my wardrobe and this time I decided to wear some of them with a nautical flare. It's very obvious that I'm a big fan of the nautical (more here) trend, so I often look for different ways to style it, therefore, you'll see them on this blog.

Florals often scream preppiness, but after paired with a ripped pair of jeans it's a much edgier combination. I'm a fan of juxtaposition, and that's the reason why I paired this blazer with a couple more items that weren't too girly, perhaps a festival t-shirt and a men's Panama hat.
This time a popular denim on denim combo was amped up with a pair of modern mirrored sandals. I really love how these heels look particularly with this look, because the shiny aquatic colors complement beautifully the blue of the denim. And to finish my mirrored bonanza, I decided to wear the infamous blue Ray-Bans and silver jewelry.
Feeling good! and the day was beautiful and warm, so I splurged with a day at Shelton Vineyards here in North Carolina. This is really a wonderful place to relax and enjoy Mother Nature. I love to walk throughout the vineyard's paths to get to the store, and then to find the perfect spot to picnic while enjoying a wonderful glass of their wine.
Every time I come to this place I love to wear a big hat (see another post here), so today I wore another large hat with this adorable polka-dot midi dress.
April's sunshine is finally here and to match this shiny morning I decided to wear this awesome vintage leather gold jacket that I found at a local vintage shop Design Archives Emporium. I love denim and metallics combo, so I paired my jacket with a pair of oversized cut-off denim shorts, flats and my adorable vintage straw bag which it was another great find from the same store.
I hope you have a wonderful day and the blessings continue coming to your lives.
