This 4th of July we are celebrating Independence Day here in The United States. The celebration began this weekend and with that in mind, I decided to wear a couple of patriotic colors for this post.
Today I'm wearing for the first time these boot-cut cropped jeans. These comfortable jeans replaced my old pair because they now fit me two sizes larger.
When I put together this look, I realized that I was breaking a couple rules for petite gals, mainly for the ones with the appearance of a short torso due to the larger breasts. I've heard and read too many times that horizontal stripes are a no-no for petite gals and also high-waist jeans. Wait a minute...boxy tops and cropped jeans are supposed to be a disgrace to a petite gal's wardrobe. And the list goes on and on with things that we aren't "supposed" to wear. I still can't believe that some of those rules and suggestions are coming from petite gals' articles or blog posts. I'd love to tell them that they are missing a lot from fashion and simply because they aren't creative enough to make these "forbidden" pieces work for them.
