Timeless And Relevant Style

April 4, 2018

Many of you probably have noticed that it's been a while since I've shared a "Wine Country Style" post. We still frequent the vineyards and wineries in Winter time, but we pretty much stay inside the tasting rooms due to cold or wet weather. Last week, we finally started seeing Spring weather, therefore, perfect for a photo shoot at a North Carolina vineyard named Grassy Creek.

The dress I decided to wear was gifted to me by Brooks Brothers and so was the gorgeous scarf. This classic shirtdress really got my attention because of its 1940's vibes and also the diminutive polka dot print. By the way, the print is black, but the outdoors lighting made it look bluish. The flowy style of this dress was just right for that breezy afternoon and the scarf I chose complimented its overall look.

I personally love the simplicity and uncomplicated lines of shirtdresses. They are the perfect canvas for the minimalist, the maximalist and anyone in-between. A classic shirtdress is versatile because you can dress it up or down simply by changing the accessories accordingly. As you can see, that day I wore a wide-brimmed hat over my beautiful scarf just to accentuate the feminine and retro vibes of the dress.

I'd like to mention that I'm very honored wearing pieces from Brooks Brothers. I've always admired their impeccable craftsmanship and classic but relevant style. In fact, they are America's oldest clothing retailers and this April 7th they will celebrate their 200 years in business. What a milestone!!

WHAT I WORE:
