Chloé Graphic Print Tent Dress

August 12, 2013

One of the best things about second hand shopping in small towns is finding high-end designer brands at a very affordable price, which was the case with this Chloé (The lady and the bird?) dress. I could not believe she was asking only $25 for it. In small towns, high-end items don't typically sell for the price they sell for in bigger cities where there's much more of a demand, since small vintage and second hand store owners need to price their items regardless of the brand at a reasonable price in order to keep things moving out of their stores.
Since the dress is sheer and the opening around the arms is very wide, I had to wear something under to  remain decent, so I used an old J. Crew tube LBD made out of thick jersey fabric as the dress lining.
I was tempted to wear my orange Prada pumps with this dress, but instead I decided to wear these sandal booties, in order to give it a more edgy look.
As a non-minimalist person, of course the print of the dress was not enough, so I figured I would wear  another print, like the one on my bag (cheetah). As if this wasn't enough, I borrowed the napkin ring from my dining table to hold my bun/ponytail. Haaaa! ... I bet you didn't see that coming!
