Shades Of Red

Leather skirt street style

I know you have seen me wearing all-white and all-black outfits, but I can almost bet that this is the first time you see me wearing all red. This month, after reading all my favorite magazines, I was left craving bold-color palettes such as red and blue.
As I said before, wearing a monochromatic look can be a tad intimidating...I mean, who wants to look like a human crayon? So, in order to avoid a boring one-color look, try to keep things playful. For example, wear different shades within the hue in order to give the overall look some dimension. I would strongly recommend playing with textures, silhouettes or wearing garments with interesting details. Just remember, no matter the season, mixing is the key when wearing a look within one hue.

Love this post! I love red but somehow always get intimidated by it - maybe because it's such a strong color??? But you make it look effortless and fun! I'll have to give it another shot...

    1. Thanks, Deanna! You always can introduce red in small doses. Try with a scarf, small bag or a belt and see how you feel about it.
