Wine Country Bumble Bee

June 8, 2019

Hi lovelies!! I hope your week went wonderful and your weekend gets even better. The forecast is calling for rain the entire weekend but we'll manage to have some fun around town. And talking about fun, last weekend we took advantage of the sunny and warm weather by packing our picnic basket with a few snacks and headed out for a good time in wine country. This time we visited a vineyard named Medaloni Cellars located about 20 minutes from our house. We really had a blast tasting their excellent wines, especially their Chardonnay and Gewürztraminer. For the occasion, I decided to wear my yellow kaftan dress (I nicknamed it bumble bee). I love this dress because it's fun and very airy due its loose woven fabric. I've worn it with black, pink and even blue shoes but never before with shoes what will match perfectly its yellow hue.

You probably agree with me that yellow can be a very tricky color to wear and even more if you want to wear it from head to toe. That being said, yellow can be become easier to wear when it's paired with black or white...or when it's on a print like on my dress. Black can add a great balance to yellow and white makes it look crisp and warm-weather perfect, but the truth is,  I don't mind to pair it with any color 😊. I  believe finding the right hue of yellow for our skin tone is key. Once we have achieved that, we will be able to make it work in our favor regardless how we style it.

DETAILS:
My dress is vintage. These happy espadrilles are by Castañer. My vintage hat isn't the traditional panama hat, this one is a Montecristi Optimo Xfino (my precious find). Yes, I can be a hat geek sometimes.

THANKS FOR VISITING! 🐝
