Hawaiian Floral In Wine Country

June 8, 2018

Hello, lovelies!! As the weather gets warmer, we get more opportunities to visit North Carolina's wine country. For us, going to wine country isn't only about tasting delicious wines; it's also about the wonderful drives throughout the valleys in our open Jeep. We love to discover new vineyards and getting to know the people in the area. Oh, and, dressing up for the occasion is also part of the fun, at least for me.

On this trip, we decided to visit a beautiful vineyard named Jolo. We had a great time from the moment we started driving through their property. We engaged in a wine tasting and then admired the gorgeous view while sitting on their beautiful patio. I ended up buying a bottle of their "Jolotage" wine which is full-bodied but supple red blend with delicious blackberry aroma. I'm sure if you watch my Instastories highlight named "Wine Country" you will see small videos of this wine country adventure and some from the past.

So what did I wear? Well, I styled my look around my Hawaiian floral print shirt. The shirt's colors and print completely blew away as soon I saw it for the first time. It reminded me of Cubavera shirts that I used to see guys wearing back in my childhood in the late 70's or early 80's. In fact, I believe this vintage cotton shirt was made back in that era as well. I paired my shirt with neutrals but I also added colors that complimented the ones in the floral print. I also did a little bit of pattern mixing by wearing striped espadrilles.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and if you are heading to wine country in your area, don't forget to #dressfun. If you need inspiration check out more posts like this in my "Wine Country Style" category.
