A Pink Oxford Shirt Styled For Work And Date Night

June 3, 2018

Yes!! Here I am again with another "Monday Work Outfit" post, but this time, it comes with an off-duty look as well. Today, I'm showing two looks styled around my pink Oxford shirt. I must confess that this is my very first pink Oxford shirt ever. I have several in white and some striped ones, so it was about time for one in pink or other soft colors. Button down shirts, in general, are my favorite style shirt; in fact, my emotional style couldn't survive without buttoned shirts. The Oxford shirts are extremely versatile and with a little or a lot of imagination, we can accommodate them not only for business but also for pleasure.

As you can see in the first look, I paired my oxford shirt with a simple pair of dress shorts. If you work in a company with a flexible dress code, this look can be completely appropriate. You can tuck your shirt in or leave it out...it's up to you, but make sure you pair these two pieces with classic shoes.
And because it's almost summer time, I decided to take a wicker bag instead of a structured tote or a more formal bag. This time of the year, for work, we can get away with wearing lighter clothes and accessories made of natural raw materials.

WHAT I WORE:
Oxford shirt: Brooks Brothers /Bermuda shorts: Theory/Necklace: Vintage/Ring: Vintage/Bag: Vintage/Sunglasses: 80's Ray-Bans/Shoes: Christian Louboutin.

Perfect, you made it all the way down here!! Now, you will see in my pictures below that by changing only one garment I was able to transform my look from business to pleasure. I switched my Bermuda dress shorts for an overlapped maxi skirt that, despite its conservative length, it has a very sneaky split that showcases the legs. See, with a very little effort, I was able to create a date-night look with my Supima cotton Oxford shirt.

I personally love the look of a pink and black combo (see more looks here, here and here) and when the pink is soft like in this Oxford, the contrast is elegant. Pairing these looks with light blue jewelry was a way of adding another playful hue that complimented my black skirt and dress shorts. And my nude shoes, of course, are my legs' best friends!! They create a seamless look that makes my legs look longer. We ALL  (tall and short) can benefit from that!

THANKS FOR VISITING!! 💼
