Monday Work Outfit - Using Color To Inject Fun Into Neutral Classics

January 14, 2018

It's time for the first Monday Work Outfit post of 2018! If you are a new subscriber to my blog you probably don't know much about my work outfit series. I created this series in order to inspire women to be creative when dressing up for work. I'm a firm believer that dressing for success and respect is very important regardless of what type of dress code your business organization has. When I say "Dressing for success and respect" I'm not saying that you should dress boring or dowdy. There are many ways to make classic and conservative pieces become more exciting.

Today's outfit is an example of how to style classic pieces such as a Breton striped top and camel blazer in a way that looks vibrant, fun, chic and classy.
As many of you know, last year I started embracing the color pink to the point of feeling completely comfortable wearing a lot of the color in one outfit. As you can see in this look, I used pink to give a fun boost to my classic and neutral colored pieces without spoiling their conservative look.
My advice for today is to invest in a few colorful pieces, including accessories if you want to inject fun into your classic and neutral-hued work ensembles.

WHAT I WORE:
Cashmere Blazer: Escada/Top: Armor Lux/Pants: Topshop/Sunglasses: Tom Ford/Pumps: Jimmy Choo/Bag: Kate Spade/Watch: Bulova/Scarf: Handmade in Pakistan.
