Colorful, Sunny And Cold

Colorful Winter Look Street Style

The last couple of weeks have been colder than usual for this time of the year in North Carolina. I was completely surprised seeing my youngest son's Snapchats from the beach; it was all covered with snow. This is something that North Carolinians, in general, aren't used to. For example, we usually prefer to take photos under the shade on sunny days, but the day of this photo-shoot was so cold for me (10 degrees) that we decided to take them in the sunny area in order to stay warmer. After a few shots, I was ready to run inside the car and drive to the nearest coffee shop.

When the temperatures are freezing, we naturally gravitate toward neutral hues such as black. I totally can understand this behavior, because it seems to be easier to layer up with garments in muted hues. That being said, once in a while (or often), it won't hurt to show off your beautiful colorful pieces.
Bright colors, besides looking stunning and vivid, can also contribute to lift our spirits, which can be very handy on Winter days. As you can see, my look is all about showcasing beautiful colors such as pink and red, however, I also reached for neutral hues in order to balance things out.
